We believe that words matter.  We find comfort and thoughtfulness in the words the words and portraits of artists, writers, musicians and leaders.  This tribute is to the amazing John Lewis, Congressman, activist, human and civil rights leader, minister, husband, father, friend to so many and a hero to all.  

The kit includes the pattern printed on Stitch n Stitch, Sajou dark grey cotton thread, coordinating blue Tonkin thread, 1/2 fat quarter of blue jeans linen, and an 8" hoop.  We used the back stitch, chain stitch, satin stitch and stem stitch in our sample.  We encourage you to use other stitches and add additional threads to make it your own.  

Apply the Stitch n Stitch pattern to your linen.  Place it on the hoop.  Stitch through the pattern and linen until the piece is finished.  Wash the piece in lukewarm water to remove the Stick n Stitch materials.  Iron dry and put it back into the hoop as a frame, or frame it however you like.
