Retors du Nord is French for "twisted thread from the North," the traditional home of the French textile industry. This 100% cotton thread is a 4-ply embroidery floss whose plies can be easily separated, making it ideal for almost any type of embroidery or cross-stitch. Each card has approximately 22 yards (22 meters) of thread. We will also supply a large pattern chart which will enable you to embroider a marvellous vintage style color chart. A work of art worthy of its' place in the home of all embroiderers!
The cover and interior are decorated with a large round Retors du Nord label (15.5 cm diametre).
Size of box: 29.5 cm long - 21 cm wide - 7.5 cm high.
For ecological reasons, Retors du Nord thread is not colourfast. To make a thread colorfast involves using highly polluting treatments, for us, totally unjustified for embroidery purposes. However, it can be washed up to 40° - just be careful never to use boiling water or bleach.
