At Très Chic Stitchery we love embroidering on linen. We have linen fat quarters in 30 colors and tea towels in a dozen shades, all from Maison Sajou. These French linen fabrics are all 32 count and are also found in the Sajou kits to embroider.
We are now happy to introduce 28 count hand-dyed linen from ThreadNuts. Those of you who are familiar with the threads from this company know that the color ways are named for famous artists like Henri Matisse, Paul Cezanne, Jacob Lawrence and Mary Cassat. Each linen piece is approximately 16" x 16" and is a uniquely hand-dyed piece of art. You can easily embroider into the dyed patterns and can use contrasting colors or solid threads that stand out with your image. These fabrics are also great as appliqués on clothing, quilts, shawls, scarves and other items. We are looking forward to sharing more ideas on blogs to come.
